I've been fielding some questions about how to make the targets for the Challenge Shoot
with the FREE Pellant Airgun software.
Okay here is how ya do it. (The following instructions create the Marksman target. For the Novice, use the sizes 11mm, 19mm and 30mm in steps 3,4 & 5, and include "Matrix 4 x 5" in the title in step 2)
-
Click on the targets icon and then choose the "10m Matrix 7 x 11" target.
-
Change the title of the target to "Challenge Matrix 5 x 6". (the text "Matrix 5 x 6" must be in the title for the program to save the matrix setup. Thanks to Gary N. for the research!)
-
Click on the "Dia (mm)" box next to the 10 Ring row. Change the value from 0.5 to 6.
-
Click in the 9 Ring "Dia (mm)" box and replace the 5.5 with 12.3.
-
Change the 8 ring diameter to 24.3.
-
Then click in the 9 Ring "Fill" box and choose the white colored box in the bottom right corner of the Basic Colors.
-
Click in the 8 Ring "Fill" box and choose the lighter orange box in the third row down and second column across of the Basic Colors.
-
Click on the 8 rings "Scores" box to turn it to False like all the rest.
-
Change the Color Line Width from 2 to 1 so that it's like the Black Line Width.
-
Click on the pop-up for Targets Per Sheet and choose Matrix. I know it's already on Matrix but choose it again.
This will bring up and dialog box asking for the Number of Targets across the page. Enter 5 in this value (4 for Novice) and click on OK.
Then it will ask you for the Number of Targets down the page. Enter 6 for this value (5 for Novice) and click OK.
You should have a target set up correctly now. You can choose Save under the File menu and that should save
that new target into your Targets.DAT file for later use. Remember, in order for the matrix to be saved, the text "matrix c x r", where c=number of columns, and r=number of rows, must be included in the title. (The text is not case sensitive.)
